Although, we use behavioral history and other information*, such as article browsing and channel subscriptions, to deliver advertisements, we do not collect information that can be used to identify specific individuals (personal information).

Behavioral Targeting Advertising
SmartNews provides behavioral targeting advertisements with the aim to deliver Ads as Content.
Behavioral targeting is a service that analyzes the interests, preferences, and attributes of users by acquiring and using their behavioral history and other information to deliver personalized online advertisements to them.
Information on behavioral history does not include any information that can be used to identify specific individuals.

Report Irrelevant Ads
SmartNews delivers advertisements according to the user’s interests. If the content of an advertisement does not interest you, you can follow the method given below to report it. This will remove the advertisement from your screen and help prevent delivery of similar advertisements.
1: Long press the advertisement
2: Select “Dismiss This Ad”
3: Submit your reason for dismissing the advertisement from “Report your reason for dismissing the ad”
